Rates are per room per night based on a double or twin share. All inclusive New Zealand Government taxes, self-service selection of teas and coffee with sweets, wireless internet facilities, use of therapeutic spa pool & mineral swimming pool, luxury toiletries, and lots of little extras including activity and restaurant booking. All suites have en-suite bathrooms. We offer a choice of delicious breakfasts and tour packages for an additional charge.

Your booking request will be guaranteed only on receipt of your personal details. It is our policy to answer all emails within 24 hours. If you send us an e-mail or booking request and do not hear back from us, please re-send your message. All reservations will be confirmed by e-mail with a reservation number and final price calculation.
Mastercard, Visa, cash and bank deposits are accepted. Credit card details are required for payment and cancellation policy guarantee only. No deduction will be made from your credit card prior to arrival.
Due to our intimate size, cancellations affect us greatly. We will try our best, however in the event that we are unable to replace your cancelled booking, the following cancellation fees apply:
- No charge for cancellations up to 30 days to reservation date.
- Cancellation within 30 days of arrival: a cancellation penalty of one nights accommodation.
- Cancellation within 7 days of arrival: a 30% cancellation penalty applies for all nights booked.
- Cancellation within 1 day of arrival: cancellation charges will be 100% of the booking.
Arrival and Departure Times
Our regular check-in time is between 3:00 and 5:00 pm
Our normal check-out time is 10:00 am
If you wish to arrive earlier or depart later than the times stated, please contact us in advance.
No minimum stays are required. From 25/12 to 31/1 an additional high season charge will apply for one night stays.
We intend our guests to enjoy rest and relaxation while staying in the peaceful haven that is The Bay Lodge. For these reasons we can’t accommodate children under the age of thirteen years.
Non Smoking Policy
The well-being and comfort of all our guests is important to us. Therefore the Lodge is a non-smoking environment. If you like to smoke, we suggest that you do this outside.
Guests are liable for any damage made to the property or the furnishing. We don’t tolerate any misbehaviour, disorder or noise pollution due to alcohol or drugs use and reserve the right to evict any guest or visitor. In all cases a police officer will be contacted for further prosecution.
