All our walking packages start on Friday afternoon and end on Monday around midday. Alternative starting days are available on request. We have two packages on offer: The Bay Walk Basic and The Bay Walk All Inclusive.

THE BAY WALK BASIC

This is our basic package with all the essentials to enjoy your 3-day walking experience in Golden Bay.

THE BAY WALK ALL-INCLUSIVE

This is our all-inclusive option with all your transfers from/to Nelson Airport included (no need for a rental car). All meals, activities and pampering to end your Bay Walk in style are also included.

• Luxury courtesy transfer and scenic drive from Nelson Airport over Takaka Hill (Lord of the Rings) to Golden Bay (Day 1)
• All transfers to/from the tracks (day 2+3)
• Guided introduction walk (bush/beach) (day 1)

• 3 night accommodation in our luxury Aroha Suite with Ensuite
• 2 breakfast baskets (day 2+3), 1 gourmet breakfast hamper (day 4)
• 2 packed lunches (day 2+3)
• Gourmet platter (day 1)
• 2-course dinner in iconic bush restaurant + 1 glass of local beer/wine (day 2)
• 2-course barbeque/stone grill dinner at the lodge with a bottle of local wine (day 3)
• Courtesy transfer to Takaka (art galleries & cafés) & Takaka Airport (day 4)
• 30 minute scenic flight from Takaka Airport to Nelson Airport (Day 4, 2.20pm)

EXTRA DAY TO WALK AND RELAX

Adding another day to your walking package allows you to fully relax after your walking adventure. You’ll be able to rejuvenate at the Lodge with beautiful views, water features and a wide range of relaxation facilities.
If more action is required, visit colourful Takaka with beautiful art galleries, cozy cafes and its unique atmosphere. For walking enthusiasts there are some amazing but relaxing freedom walks.
Or, experience the thrill of catching your own lunch at our local salmon farm. We will be happy to look after all necessary transfers and spoil you with local advice and suggestions.
Simply book your extra day by adding another overnight stay on our booking form, in addition to your preferred weekend walking package.
